We are the winemakers of Vinsobres. For nearly a century, we have shared a collective journey—facing challenges, embracing change, and slowly shaping the renown of our terroir.
In 1929, nature struck with unforgiving force. A severe frost swept through our lands, destroying the olive trees that had long defined the village. Many would have given up—but here in Vinsobres, we chose a different path. From that moment, the vine began its rise, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our story.
As if guided by destiny, in 1937 Vinsobres was recognized within the esteemed AOC Côtes du Rhône.
A reminder that after every trial comes acknowledgment. From that moment on, each harsh winter became not a misfortune, but a challenge met together—with courage and solidarity.
In the village school hall, seventy men chose to unite their strength and vision. Together, they founded the Vinsobres cooperative cellar. Their boldness laid the foundations of La Vinsobraise—a story of unity, courage, and shared passion that continues to thrive today.
Two years later, the first doors of the cooperative swung open. With an initial capacity of 6,400 hl, the collective dream began to take form, transforming a shared vision into reality.
We honed our craft—winemaking, bottling, and marketing—laying the foundations of a thriving cooperative. Despite limited resources, solidarity and expertise allowed production to soar, doubling from 11,000 to 19,000 hl between 1953 and 1959.
The harsh frost of 1956 could have stopped us in our tracks. Yet determination and unity carried us forward. By 1957, Vinsobres was recognized as Côtes du Rhône Villages.
Between 1964 and 1969, our cooperative settled into a steady rhythm, producing 30,000 to 35,000 hl each year. In 1974, the opening of the tasting room marked a memorable milestone: at last, our wines could be shared directly with enthusiasts, bringing the spirit of La Vinsobraise to every table.
After decades of collective dedication, Vinsobres reached a defining milestone: becoming a fully recognized Protected Designation of Origin. No longer just a “village” within the Côtes du Rhône, but an independent appellation—this honor is the culmination of a passion nurtured and passed down through generations.

Today, we—the winemakers, oenologists, technicians, and teams of La Vinsobraise—continue this shared adventure. Our wines speak of the sincerity of our terroir, blending timeless tradition with modern innovation, simplicity with character, and passion with expertise.
